Ball State University, on behalf of ATAIN (Access Technology Across Indiana) and the Indiana Innovation Network, is hosting The 2008 Sustainability Summit for Indiana Colleges and Universities. Scheduled for February 21, 2008 at the Ball State University (BSU) Alumni Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the Summit will feature speakers and panelists from institutions of higher education across the state on topics related to campus sustainability, including curriculum development, facilities, student affairs, administration, and highlights of current initiatives. An optional tour of the BSU Letterman Communication Building and Straw Bale structure will follow.


Agenda:
Issues surrounding campus sustainability: curriculum development, facilities, green funding, student affairs, administration, and highlights of current initiatives.

  • From Indy: Take Interstate 69 north to Muncie exit #41 (State Road 332). Follow S.R. 332 east into Muncie and turn right (south) on Tillotson Ave. Take Tillotson Ave. to Bethel Ave. and turn left (east). Entrance to the Alumni Center will be the first drive on the left. You may park free in the lot just north of the building.

  • From Ft. Wayne: Take Interstate 69 south to Muncie exit #41 (State Road 332). Follow S.R. 332 east into Muncie and turn right (south) on Tillotson Ave. Take Tillotson Ave. to Bethel Ave. and turn left (east). Entrance to the Alumni Center will be the first drive on the left. You may park free in the lot just north of the building.

  • From Cincinnati: Take Interstate 74 west to Greensburg exit #134 (State Road 3). Follow S.R. 3 north through New Castle and on to the Muncie bypass (3 north/67 east/35 north). Take the Muncie bypass (3 north/67 east/35 north) to McGalliard (S.R. 332). Turn left on McGalliard (S.R. 332) and go approximately 5 miles to Tillotson Ave. Turn left (south) on Tillotson Ave. to Bethel Ave. and turn left (east). Entrance to the Alumni Center will be the first drive on the left. You may park free in the lot just north of the building.

  • From Chicago: Take Interstate 65 south to Lafayette exit #172 (State Road 26). Follow S.R. 26 east to Fairmount. After passing through Fairmount, take Interstate 69 south to Muncie exit #41 (State Road 332). Follow S. R. 332 east into Muncie and turn right (south) on Tillotson Ave. Take Tillotson Ave. to Bethel Ave. and turn left (east). Entrance to the Alumni Center will be the first drive on the left. You may park free in the lot just north of the building.
